Akala 21 are sandals that evoke cultural responsibility and champion boundless possibilities. Brass is used to select components of our sandals. It symbolizes our commitment to craftsmanship and our ingrained societal responsibility. It also a symbolism of our astute African upbringing and its unmatched authenticity. The buckles are handcrafted‚ polished and installed to offer diverse fastening options for adjustments. Art has been an integral part of our brand language and for more than four years‚ we’ve worked with budding artists and given the sandals the role of a canvas and accorded a greater privilege of expression to the artisans.

Our after-sales service is customer oriented. We have staff that are trained to provide great after-sales service. They are trained in communication‚ aftercare and leather restoration techniques. Our Sandals have an average lifespan of 5 years before a total upper body overhaul‚ but we insist on biyearly maintenance to nourish its elements. We also recommend taking care of the leather material to maintain peak outlook and performance. In the coming year‚ we are set to continue incorporating podiatrist perspectives into the making of our sandals. Our current sandals have that approach with regards to cushioning‚ breathability‚ adjustable straps for customization.
